ZACK LANGWAY
About
Zack Langway is an expert in community building, constituent engagement, and stakeholder communications. With more than a decade of experience, Zack has worked across a wide range of sectors and industries including higher education, health care, advocacy, international development, and community organizing. Throughout his career, Zack has worked with nonprofits, businesses, and change agents in the U.S. and around the world to drive engagement and action on issues that matter.
Currently, Zack serves as the Vice President for Alumni Relations at Brown University. In this role, he oversees all aspects of alumni relations, creating and directing a comprehensive and strategic program of events and activities to engage Brown’s community of more than 100,000 alumni across the world. He also serves as chief liaison to the Brown Alumni Association, and provides leadership and vision for the alumni relations staff in the University’s Division of Advancement.
Zack graduated with a BA from Brown University and an MA in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. He serves in volunteer leadership roles for Brown University, as an advisor to the Kupona Foundation, and on the board of directors for TIP Global Health. In 2020, Zack was selected as a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s First Movers program for corporate social intrapreneurs. He serves as an adjunct instructor at Rutgers University and Towson University, and lives Plainfield, NJ with his husband, Matt, and their two sons, Samuel and Jacob.

Most recently served as communication leader for the Office of the Chief Medical Officer and global lead for communication and health equity for the Open&Out LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group. Previous roles focused on social entrepreneurship, stakeholder engagement, and scientific communication. Experience across Consumer Health, Community Impact, and Global Health and Scientific Engagement teams.
